Someday I might want to sell my house,
but to do that it would be best to get a new septic system put in, so I did. Then I had to take out the old deck, and build a new one. (To be clear: I did not put in the septic system myself, just the deck).
This is a list of YouTube Videos I found helpful –

What's going on under my deck?
Lattice and Trex painted black provide a visual dressing for what is below the deck. Leftover black coated aluminum balustrades from the deck construction provided a method to secure the lattice.
You don't always need to buy a hose reel, or hose holder.
I made this out of leftover pieces from making my deck, plus a dowel I had left over in my shop.
How to Prevent Tools from Slipping Off a Dowell
A simple trick that keeps tools stable and prevents accidental drops. Start making the wooden rings using a half inch bit, to match the half inch diameter of the dowel. Then use a 3/4" hole saw to cut a ring around the 1/2" hole. Then cut 3/8" inch thickness on the table saw, and the rings will fall out.
These are ideas for how to make the most of a small living space.
I built these things for a very special person who lives in an efficiency apartment.
Bird netting can be frustrating!
I won't say I've perfected it yet, but I've been working on this design for years. The idea is to be able to lift up the netting like a curtain, allowing me to pick my strawberries and blueberries, but not allowing the birds to eat them up.
Bird netting can be frustrating, again!
I definitely have not perfected this method of using bird netting, but this is another way of constructing a framework for bird netting that allows me to pick the strawberries, but keep the birds away.
Three clamps are compared as they are used with a pocket hole jig.
Check out the three types of clamps I use with a pocket hole jig. See if you agree with me about which is best.
Here are some of my links that show how to do some of these things:
